Subject: Turning Congress into a Watchdog Against Bureaucratic Malfeasance
Description: Lee (R-UT) amendment to the Consolidated Appropriations Act for FY 2024 requiring federal agencies to, when creating a new rule, publish in the federal registry a list of the information upon which the rule is based. It then requires the agency to submit the rule to Congress such that legislators may approve the rule. CPAC supports efforts to crack down on burdensome and unnecessary regulations and supported this amendment.
