Description: Paul (R-KY) amendment to the Fiscal Responsibility Act of 2023 requiring the Office of Management and Budget to annually prepare a report discussing whether outlays for the previous fiscal year were greater than the outlay limit for that year. The amendment then requires the President to issue a sequestration order reducing discretionary spending if outlays are found to be greater than the limit. CPAC supports efforts to impose fiscal restraints on the federal government and supported this amendment.
