Subject: Cutting an Increase in Funding for the NATO Security Investment Program
Description: Greene (R-GA) amendment to the Consolidated Appropriations Act for FY 2024 cutting the $73,000,000 funding increase for the NATO Security Investment Program. CPAC believes that President Trump's strategy of conditioning increases in funding for NATO on the choice of other countries to contribute their fair share to its budget is the best strategy for dealing with the organization. CPAC therefore supported this amendment as a way of driving nations to contribute more to NATO's security infrastructure.
