Passage, over President Reagan's Aug. 28 veto, of the bill to appropriate $14,578,111,924 in new fiscal 1982 budget authority for federal military and civilian pay raises, commodity credit programs, defense and other programs, amd to rescind $400,846,000 in previously appropriated funds. ACU opposed the override as a way to protect the taxpayer.
